Oh MoMo!

Here are a few shots of the newest member of our family, MoMo. She's an 8-year-old Catalina Macaw.

Thirsty???

She's finally getting used to the kids enough to let them hold her, with adult supervison, of course! (Bribery with a nice nut helps, too!)

That's one nut she can't crack!

I'm ready for my close-up.

Here are a couple more of the critters.

Look out! He's escaping!!!

Boy Scout Camporee!

November 8 was the Boy Scout Camporee. It was the first overnight trip we went on with Benjamin's Cub Scout Den. The kids had a great time. Weather was beautiful on Saturday, but COLD that night!
It was held at the local rodeo place. Here's the view across the cow pasture we camped next to. :)

Lasso the 2-litre bottles!

Spike got to come too. I think he nearly sprained his tongue, there were so many new faces to lick!

The Splint-the-Cowboy activity. The boys got to bandage each other. I think Benjamin was getting a little tired and hungry by that time!

Spooktacular Fun!

Here, Kitty, Kitty, Kitty!

Benjamin the ninja.

I think my friend needs a snack...

Vampire Ninja!

We decided to have Mackenzie's birthday party a week and a half early, so she could have a combination Birthday/Halloween party. The kids had a blast, and enjoyed getting to wear their costumes again, even if it was November 1st! :)

The cheeseball was supposed to be a goblin, but he kind of turned into a mouse!

Graveyard Cake

MMMmmmm!!!!

All the kids playing...

TP Mummy relay races! Johnathan's team got the "fastest" award...

And Mackenzie's team got the "most thorough" award!
